The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Lite is made for anyone who works out outdoors and heads into the water too. A built-in GPS chip tracks your route without your phone, and with 5 ATM you can just swim with it. In the pool, the watch recognizes your stroke and counts your laps.
The 1.96 inch AMOLED screen reaches 1500 nits and adjusts to the light around you. At 9.9 mm and 27.8 grams, you'll barely feel it on your wrist, and the battery lasts up to 18 days.
On top of that, it tracks your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and sleep all day long. Take calls right on your wrist via Bluetooth. Through the Mi Fitness app it works with Android and iPhone, and you can choose between Black and Steel Gray.

Is the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Lite right for you?
A great choice if:
- you swim and want your watch to track your laps and swimming stroke
- you run, walk or cycle outdoors without taking your phone with you
- you want a large, bright screen in a lightweight watch
- you want to go a good two weeks without a charger

- you don't need GPS and are looking for the smallest, lightest watch possible. The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Active weighs 26 grams
Torn between the three Watch 6 models? Here you can see them side by side.

Large screen, always readable
The 1.96-inch AMOLED screen of the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Lite has a resolution of 410 by 502 pixels. With 332 pixels per inch, numbers and small letters are sharp, even in a long message.
The brightness goes up to 1500 nits. A light sensor adjusts it automatically: bright in the sun, dimmed when you're on the couch in the evening. That way you can always read the screen without being blinded.
With the always-on display, the time stays visible, just like on a regular watch. On top of that, you can choose from a wide collection of watch faces, from sporty with all your data to calm and classic.

Keeps an eye on your health
You can review all measurements in the Mi Fitness app. They're meant to give you insight into your day and night, not as a medical diagnosis.

Swimming and outdoor sports without your phone
The Watch 6 Lite has its own built-in GPS chip that supports five satellite systems. Record your run, walk or bike ride without having your phone in your pocket.
In the pool, too, the watch keeps track of what you're doing. A nine-axis sensor recognizes your stroke and counts your laps. Afterwards, you'll see your average pace, your heart rate underwater and your SWOLF score.
On top of that, there are over 150 sports modes, from running to strength training. For a number of workouts, you'll even get a warm-up, so you don't start cold.
How does the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Lite compare?
Three models with an AMOLED display, calling via Bluetooth and all-day heart rate, sleep and blood oxygen tracking. The differences come down to screen size, battery life, GPS and whether you can swim with them.

Up to 18 days on a single charge
The 470 mAh battery lasts up to 18 days with light use. With notifications, sleep tracking and continuous measurements on, you'll get about 12 days.
Turn on the always-on display and track everything, and you'll reach around 6 days. For most people, that means plugging in once a week or less.
You charge it with the included magnetic cable. The app menu also gives you an alarm, stopwatch, weather forecast, calendar, flashlight, compass and music controls, plus you can locate your phone.

Take calls on your wrist
With the built-in speaker and microphone, you can answer calls on your wrist via Bluetooth. Your phone does need to be nearby. Regular phone calls work, but calling through apps like WhatsApp doesn't.
Notifications for messages and apps come in with a vibration, so you don't have to keep grabbing your phone. During a workout, you can see your pace, distance and heart rate at a glance.
You pair the watch with the Mi Fitness app. It works on Android 8.0 and higher and on iOS 14.0 and higher, so with an iPhone too. In the app, you can review your data and download new watch faces.

Sporty finish
The Watch 6 Lite is 9.9 mm thin and weighs 27.8 grams without the strap. The flat frame with 2.5D curved glass feels light on your wrist, even when you wear it at night for sleep tracking.
You'll find the raised side button without looking, handy in the middle of a workout. A raised edge around the screen protects the glass from bumps.
The strap has a wave texture, so it slides less when you sweat. With the quick release you click it off and snap on a different strap. You can choose from Black or Steel Gray.

Step 4: choose whether you want the always-on display
You turn on the always-on display on the watch itself. Handy, but it drains the most battery. Without this display, you lift your wrist to see the time.
