It tracks your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress and sleep throughout the day, and a vitality score sums up how you're doing. With over 140 sport modes and IP68 protection against sweat and rain, it comes along to every workout. You can't swim with it, though.

Afterwards, you can review your workout in the Mi Fitness app, complete with your heart rate trend and your time. In a few weeks, you'll easily see if you're making progress.
With IP68, the watch can handle sweat, rain and dust. Swimming, showering and the sauna aren't part of that, so just take it off for those.

The 470 mAh battery lasts up to 18 days with light use. With notifications, sleep tracking and continuous measurements on, you'll get around 12 days.
Leave the always-on display enabled and you'll reach about 6 days. Energy-efficient components and smart software keep power usage low.
Charging is done with the included magnetic cable. In the app menu you'll also find an alarm clock, stopwatch, weather forecast, calendar, flashlight, to-do list and music controls, and you can locate your phone.
Record without reaching for your phone
If someone calls during your workout, you can answer right from your wrist. The speaker and microphone are built into the watch, so your phone can stay in your bag via Bluetooth. Calling through apps like WhatsApp isn't possible.
You'll feel messages and app notifications come in with a vibration. A quick glance at your wrist is enough to see whether it can wait.
Pairing is done with the Mi Fitness app, on Android 8.0 and higher and on iOS 14.0 and higher. That's also where you set which apps are allowed to send you notifications and download new watch faces.
Thin and lightweight, with a quick-release strap
The Xiaomi Redmi Watch 6 Active is 9.9 mm thin and weighs just 26 grams without the strap. That makes it the lightest of the three Watch 6 models.
The flat frame with large, matte rounded corners and 2.5D curved glass makes the watch look slimmer. On your wrist it feels light, even while you sleep.
You can swap the strap with a single press thanks to the quick-release system. Choose from Midnight Black, Matte Silver or Sunset Orange, and switch to a different strap for a night out.
