Your solar panels generate plenty of power during the day, exactly when you need it least — evenings are the problem. The Zendure SolarFlow 4000 Mix AC+ solves this without you having to modify your existing setup: this 8 kWh home battery connects alongside your current inverter and stores the day's surplus for the evening and night. With bidirectional output up to 4000W, your household simply keeps running on your own stored energy.
If the power goes out, the system switches over to the backup output almost instantly. The battery is good for 10,000 cycles with a 10-year warranty, and HEMS 2.0 decides on its own when charging or discharging is most cost-effective. If your usage grows later on with a heat pump or EV charger, you can expand up to 50 kWh. Please note: for the full output you'll need a fixed connection installed by an electrician — via a wall socket you'll be limited to 3000W.

For Those Who Already Have Solar Panels
The power of this system lies in the special PV-IN AC connection, to which you connect the inverter of your existing rooftop installation directly. Your current inverter and most of the wiring simply stay in place, which makes adding storage faster and tidier than with a traditional home battery.
Don't have solar panels yet? Then the system also works independently, for example by charging smartly at times when electricity is cheap.

Power for those peak moments
Where a single circuit is normally capped at 3680W, this system delivers up to 4000W of bidirectional power. That means even heavier appliances, from your oven to your washing machine, simply run on your stored solar energy, right during the peak hours when electricity is most expensive.
Charging happens at the same power level, so on a sunny day your battery is quickly full again.

8 kWh that grows with you
With 8 kWh of storage capacity, your household can easily get through the evening and night. Thanks to a round-trip efficiency of 90%, very little is lost between charging and discharging, so more of the energy you generate is actually used in your home.
If your consumption grows later on, for example due to a heat pump or an electric car, the system is ready to be expanded with extra batteries up to 50 kWh. So you don't have to decide right now what your household will look like five years from now.

Even when the power goes out
If the power goes out, the system switches over almost seamlessly and keeps your essential devices running through the backup power output. It delivers up to 3680W continuously, with a peak power of 7200W for devices with a high startup current.
And because your solar panels stay connected via the PV-IN AC connection, the battery can keep charging on solar power even during a power outage.

Built to last
The battery is rated for 10,000 charge cycles. With daily use that comes down to about 15 years, and Zendure backs it with a 10-year warranty. That's the kind of horizon over which an investment like this can truly be judged.
The metal housing is IP65 dust- and water-resistant and works from -20 °C to 55 °C, so a spot in the garage or outside under a canopy is no problem. Thanks to the integrated caster wheels, you can easily move the unit despite its size.

The HEMS 2.0 energy management system automatically decides when the battery charges, discharges, or simply leaves the grid alone, based on your solar generation, your consumption, the current electricity price, and the battery status.

How It Works in Practice
Choose a shaded, well-ventilated spot away from heat sources, and keep at least 5 cm of space free behind the device for heat dissipation. Where possible, connect the system to your router with a network cable; that gives you a more stable connection and faster responses to your energy usage.
Through the wall socket, you can feed back up to 3000W. If you want to make use of the full capacity, have the system permanently installed by an electrician. And handy to know: you can turn on the backup power output without the app too, by pressing the power button twice.

Safety You Won't Even Notice
The battery management system keeps an eye on each cell individually: voltage, current and temperature are continuously measured and adjusted. If anything deviates, the system steps in before something goes wrong, and the LiFePO4 cells are chemically more stable than the lithium-ion cells you know from phones.
All of that happens in the background, without you having to lift a finger.

Look at what you use in the evening and at night, because that's the part you'll draw from the battery. For an average household using around 3,000 kWh per year, 8 kWh is more than enough. If you have a heat pump, a charging station or use more than 5,000 kWh, then expanding later is a nice option to have up your sleeve.

Yes, that's exactly what this model is built for. Through the PV-IN AC connection you link your current inverter directly to the battery, so your installation stays largely as it is. The system also works without solar panels — in that case it charges during the cheap hours of your energy contract.

Partly. You can connect it via the wall socket yourself, but then the power stays limited to 3000W. If you want to use the full 4000W, that requires a fixed connection installed by a certified electrician. So this is no longer a plug-and-play plug-in battery.

Without a battery, you use on average about 30 percent of your own solar power directly; with storage, that rises to around 70 percent. Combine that with a dynamic contract and you also benefit from the price differences between day and night. We're happy to work it all out with you based on your own annual usage.

In 2026, the ISDE subsidy is €250 per kWh with a maximum of €1,500 per household; with 8 kWh you reach that maximum. If you buy the battery together with solar panels, you pay 0% VAT. Conditions and budgets are subject to change, so check the current status before you apply.
