The Xiaomi SmartMi Purifier P1 Pet Filter is suitable as a replacement for the standard filter for the SmartMi Air Purifier P1. This Pet filter is actually different from the Pollen Filter that comes standard with the Purifier upon delivery.
This Purifier P1 Pet Filter is especially good at removing many of the annoying odours in your home. A nasty smoke or cooking smell, a wet dog or smog — the SmartMi P1 Pet Filter removes all those unpleasant odours. Besides eliminating smells, the SmartMi P1 Pet filter also removes many of the other harmful particles that can be present in the air. Think of dust, pollen, hair and other small particles.
The air in a home can actually be up to 5 times more polluted than the outdoor air. By filtering the air in four stages, this device captures 99.97% of the micro-pollutants in the air. The lifespan of this filter is 6 to 12 months. Has the filter aged after a long time and is it due for replacement? No problem! With a simple twist you remove the filter from the purifier. That way you'll have the filters swapped out within a minute.
How the filter works
The Xiaomi SmartMi Purifier P1 Pet Filter actually consists of four different filters. The pre-filter captures common particles such as hair, fibres and lint. The second True HEPA 13 filter removes 99.97% of the harmful particles, such as pollen, PM2.5 and dust. The third filter layer is a carbon filter that acts as an odour and smoke catcher. The final inner filter supports the overall filtration.
