The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro is a robot vacuum with a mopping function that reaches right into the corners. Two robotic arms extend the side brush and a mop out along skirting boards and into corners. Under the fridge or a cabinet with at least 2.8 cm of clearance, the mopping arm simply slides underneath.
With 15,000 Pa of suction power, you lift crumbs, sand and pet hair out of carpet too. A sensor on the front sees 129 degrees wide and steers the robot around shoes and toys. When it drives onto a rug, the mops automatically lift 10 mm, so your carpet stays dry.
After every session, the station scrubs the mops clean and dries them in about 2 hours with hot air. That keeps them fresh and prevents any musty smell. The dust disappears into a bag that lasts up to 75 days. Every now and then, you just top up with clean water.

A tour around your home
From the floor plan to the baseboard, and then back to the station.
Room by room
The laser scans your entire home and maps out the floor plan in the app. Living on multiple floors? The robot remembers each level separately.
Under the Bed
The robot is 9.3 cm tall. If there's at least 2.8 cm of clearance under a cabinet or fridge, the mopping arm will slide underneath.
Into the corner
When the robot spots a corner, the side brush extends. The mopping arm follows the baseboard, so no strip of dirt is left along the wall.
Back to the station
There the mops are scrubbed and dried with hot air in 2 hours. The dust goes into a bag that lasts up to 75 days.

Does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro fit your situation?
A good choice if:
- you really want clean corners, baseboards and edges
- there's sometimes a toy, shoe or bag on the floor
- you have a dog or cat around, with hair and litter pellets on the floor
- you want to mop under the couch, bed and fridge
Less suitable if:
- you have thresholds higher than 2 cm. The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 6 clears thresholds up to 4 cm
- your home is small and easy to navigate, without many corners. In that case the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 does the same basic job with 10,000 Pa
Torn between the H50 and the H50 Pro? Further down you'll see them side by side.

Right into the corner and tight along the baseboard
Round robots often leave a strip of dirt along the wall and in corners. That's why the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro has two robot arms. As soon as the robot spots a corner, the side brush extends outward and sweeps the dust out of the corner toward the suction inlet.
The second arm carries a mop. It extends 68% further than on earlier Xiaomi robots and stays right against the baseboard. Xiaomi measures 0 mm distance to the edge here.
The arm also adapts to a round pillar, a curved wall or a baseboard with recesses. So the robot doesn't have to drive up against the wall to get close to it.

Mopping under the fridge and the cabinet
Under the fridge, the cabinet, or along the door lies the dust you never see yourself. The H50 Pro is 9.3 cm high and fits under many sofas and beds. Where the robot itself can't fit, the mopping arm slides underneath.
This happens automatically as soon as there's at least 2.8 cm of space under a piece of furniture or appliance. The arm also reaches the gap under an interior door and the narrow strip next to the bed.
Along the way, the two mops spin at 180 rpm. In the mop-only mode, the robot makes just 57 dB(A) of noise. Quiet enough to let it run in the evening.
How does the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro compare?
Two models with the same battery and a station that washes the mops and empties the dust. The H50 Pro has stronger suction than the H50, spots obstacles coming and reaches into corners with its robot arms.

The station does the dirty work
After every cleaning run, the H50 Pro drives back to the station. There, the mops rotate over a washboard as they get rinsed, and the washboard itself is scrubbed clean too. Dirty water flows through a rinse channel into a separate tank.
After that, the station blows hot air along the mops. They're dry in about 2 hours, so they stay fresh and no musty smell develops. The dust from the robot goes into a bag that lasts up to 75 days.
The 4-liter clean water tank is enough for mopping up to 240 m². To refill, you just lift the tank out from the top, without moving the station.

Suction power for hair, sand and cat litter
With 15,000 Pa, the H50 Pro suctions twice as hard as the H50. Sand from the seams of your floor, cat litter and dust trodden into the rug all get picked up. On hard floors, Xiaomi says the robot collects more than 99% of coarse particles.
Hair doesn't get tangled around the brushes. The main brush has Y-shaped comb teeth across its entire width that catch and loosen hair. The side brush with two curved arms guides hair toward the suction mouth.
Simply detach the comb guard to rinse it clean. Other than that, you won't need to reach for a pair of scissors.

The blanket stays dry
If the H50 Pro drives onto a rug, the robot notices it by itself. The mop pads lift 10 mm and the suction power increases. So you don't have to map out your rugs in the app first.
The mop pads also stay raised on the way back to the station. That way no dirty water ends up on the floor you just cleaned. They also lift during drying, so air can flow past them nicely.
In the app you choose from four preferences for each rug: vacuum the carpet first, avoid, cross over, or ignore. For high-pile carpet, fringes, or carpet thicker than 8 mm, avoiding is the best choice.
How to set up the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum H50 Pro
Unpack it, set it down and open the app. Go through these steps once, and the robot gets to know your home and understands what matters to you.
Step 1: place the station in a fixed spot
Step 1: place the station in a fixed spot
Choose a spot against a straight wall, with open space in front of and beside the dock. This makes it easy for the robot to drive in and out. Connect the dock, fill the clean water tank and let the robot charge fully before its first run.
Step 2: connect the robot to the Xiaomi Home app
Step 2: connect the robot to the Xiaomi Home app
Download the Xiaomi Home app, log in and add the robot. You do all the settings below in that app. Afterwards, you can also control the robot with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.
Step 3: let it do a mapping run
Step 3: let it do a mapping run
Open the interior doors and tidy up any loose cables and clothes. Then let the robot explore the whole house once. After that, the map appears in the app and you can name rooms, draw no-go zones and set up schedules.
Step 4: turn on edge cleaning
Step 4: turn on edge cleaning
In the app you turn on edge and corner cleaning. The side brush and mopping arm then extend out along skirting boards, into corners and under furniture. A run takes a little longer that way, but the edges really do get clean.
Step 5: Set your carpet preference
Step 5: Set your carpet preference
After the first run, your rugs appear in the map. For each rug, choose to vacuum first, avoid, cross over or ignore. Turn on carpet boost if you want extra suction power on the rug.
Step 6: choose how often the station washes and empties
Step 6: choose how often the station washes and empties
You set how often the station rinses the mop pads in between and how often it empties the dustbin, each with three settings. Is your kitchen floor often dirty? Then have the mop pads rinsed more frequently during a cleaning run.
Step 7: clean thoroughly around furniture
Step 7: clean thoroughly around furniture
Mark the dining table or sofa as a piece of furniture on the map. After dinner, just tap it and the robot will clean only around that item. Handy for crumbs, without having to do the whole house.

Spots the shoe in the hallway in time
At the front there's a structured-light sensor that sees 129 degrees wide. This lets the robot spot low obstacles, like a shoe, a toy or a chair leg, and steer around them in time. Even when the lights in your home are dimmed.
On top, a laser spins around, scanning your home 360 degrees and building the floor plan. A distance sensor on the side keeps track of the distance to edges, and drop sensors stop the robot from rolling down the stairs.
There's no camera in the H50 Pro. If you'd rather not have anything watching inside your home, that's a plus. Just tidy up any loose cables before the first run.
