Is the Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max AC right for your situation?
The Solarbank Max AC is ideal for households with solar panels that want to use more of their own generated energy. The 7 kWh storage is perfect for using the power generated during the day in the evening and cleverly taking advantage of dynamic energy rates. If your energy usage grows, for example due to a heat pump or electric car, the system can easily be expanded up to 42 kWh. For the maximum power of 3.5 kW, a separate circuit is required.

Store solar power for later
During the day, solar panels often produce more energy than your home uses right away. The Solarbank Max AC stores this surplus in the built-in 7 kWh battery. When the sun goes down or your consumption increases, the stored energy can be put to use again. That way, you use more of your own generated power at the moments when it's worth the most to you.

Add storage to your existing setup
Because the Solarbank Max AC works on the AC side of your home, you don't have to replace your existing solar panels or inverter. The system is suitable for PV installations from other brands, making it a practical expansion of an existing solar energy installation.

Smart charging with an energy meter
With a compatible energy meter, the system sees how much your home uses and how much solar power is at risk of flowing to the grid. The Solarbank can respond to this automatically by charging or discharging. Through the Anker app, you manage the settings, energy flows and charging schedules.
How does the Solarbank Max AC compare to the alternatives?
The Max AC alongside the Zendure Mix series and the Solarbank 4 E5000 Pro, which connects your panels directly.

Backup for important devices
In the event of a power outage, the built-in UPS function switches over to the separate off-grid mode within 10 milliseconds. The backup output delivers up to 3,680 W to directly connected devices. This doesn't automatically mean that your entire home is supplied with emergency power.
Want your whole house to switch over during an outage? That's possible with the new Backup Auto-Switch: a transfer switch for your meter cabinet that automatically switches your connected circuits to the battery within 20 milliseconds. Available now as a pre-order; shipping late October.
TechPunt at Anker SOLIX
Closer to the brand, better advice for you
As an official distributor of Anker SOLIX, we visited their headquarters in Shenzhen, China, in April 2026. There we got to know the Solarbank Max AC in depth and spoke directly with the people behind the products. We bring that knowledge back to TechPunt, so we can give you targeted advice about the possibilities, installation and expansion of your Solarbank Max AC.

Smartly expand with a modular Anker SOLIX battery
One of the biggest benefits of an Anker SOLIX home battery is its modular design. You start with a 7kWh base unit that matches your current consumption and easily expand whenever your needs change, with 7kWh per expansion battery. A larger household, an electric car or extra solar panels on your roof call for more storage capacity, and the Solarbank grows along effortlessly.

Designed for long-term use
The Solarbank Max AC uses durable LiFePO4 battery cells designed for 10,000 charge cycles. The IP66 housing protects against dust and water, while active heating supports use at low temperatures. Weighing around 73 kg, it's best installed by two people.

Designed for everyday use, indoors and out
With a robust metal housing, durable LiFePO4 battery cells and IP66 protection, the Anker SOLIX Solarbank Max AC is built for years of reliable use. Thanks to active battery heating, the system keeps performing optimally even at low temperatures.
