Installation is simple: plug it in, connect via the Mi Home app and you're ready to monitor. If you use dual-band wifi, just check that your 2.4GHz is enabled too.
The app offers plenty of options. You can easily set up your own detection zones, choose how sensitively the camera responds and decide when and how you receive notifications. You can also watch live through the app.

Point the fixed camera at an important area, like your front door, and use the movable lens to scan the surroundings.
