The Xiaomi Smart Camera C100 is a compact indoor camera focused on keeping an overview, providing peace of mind and sending smart alerts. With 2K resolution, a wide-angle lens and local AI features, this camera keeps a constant eye on things without you having to watch along all the time. The design is simple and neutral, so the camera fits into a variety of spaces, from the living room to the nursery.
Always a sharp image
The camera uses a 3MP sensor with a 2K resolution of 2304 x 1296 pixels. Combined with a 128° viewing angle and a bright F1.6 lens, a large part of the room is captured in a single image. Thanks to support for full-colour images in low light, details stay clearly visible even in the evening.
For complete darkness, the camera features 940 nm infrared lighting. This works without visible red light, so the camera can stay active at night without a distracting glow. That's great in bedrooms or children's rooms, where a calm environment matters.
Alerts without constant monitoring
The Smart Camera C100 uses local AI features to recognise events. For example, the camera can distinguish between people and other movements and send alerts when someone actually appears on screen. It can also pick up loud sounds, such as breaking glass or sudden noise. In the app you can then trigger the built-in siren to scare off unwanted visitors.
A separate feature is the detection of a crying baby. When this is detected, you receive an instant alert on your phone. This means you don't have to watch the camera footage all the time, yet you're still warned right away. This makes the Smart Camera C100 perfectly suited as a baby camera or baby monitor!
Adjustable zones and privacy
For extra control, you can set up zones yourself that should get extra attention. With a virtual boundary you decide where alerts are active, for example at your outside door. At the same time, you can deliberately mask parts of the image. That way private areas stay off screen, while the rest of the room is still being monitored.
In addition, the camera comes with a physical lens cover. Close it, and recording stops immediately. This gives you extra privacy right away, independent of the software settings.
Communication and remote control
The Xiaomi Smart Camera C100 supports two-way communication via the Xiaomi Home app. Thanks to the built-in microphone and speaker, you can talk and listen remotely. The audio playback is automatically adjusted to reduce echo and background noise. The camera also supports voice commands via compatible Smart Assistants, such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. This lets you turn the camera on or off without opening the app if you already use a suitable ecosystem.
Stable and efficient
The camera connects via wifi 6, which ensures more stable transmission and less sensitivity to interference on busy networks. Bluetooth is used for quick and easy pairing during installation.
Video footage is compressed using H.265 encoding. This provides smooth playback and significantly less storage usage than older codecs. Storage can be local on a microSD card, via network storage or via cloud storage, depending on your preference.
