During a power outage, you don't want to be dragging extension cords to the emergency outlet; you just want the lights to stay on. That's exactly what the Anker SOLIX Backup Auto-Switch is for: a compact switch for your meter cabinet that automatically switches your home over to your Solarbank within 20 milliseconds when the power goes out. So fast that your devices don't notice a thing, and so seamless that you only think about the outage when the street lights go dark.
The switch works together with the Solarbank Max AC and Solarbank Max Hybrid and is only suitable for homes with a single-phase connection (1-phase). Three-phase connections (3-phase) are not supported. The module has a rated current of 63A and a built-in energy meter with two CT ports. Installation must be carried out by a certified electrician.

Your groups during a power outage
Whereas the emergency power socket of your home battery only powers devices that are directly connected, the Backup Auto-Switch automatically switches over to backup power. With a suitable single-phase installation, you can choose backup power for your entire home or for selected circuits. The available backup power capacity is up to 3,500 W or 5,000 W, depending on the configuration.
The switch is single-phase with a rated current of 63A and a breaking capacity of 6kA, and when the grid comes back, it switches back just as quietly.

Measure along instantly as a smart meter
The Backup Auto-Switch has a built-in energy meter and two CT ports: one for the grid and one for an existing solar panel installation. Using 63A current clamps, it measures in real time what your home consumes and what your panels generate, and passes that on to your Solarbank via the wired network connections.
That way, your battery knows exactly when to charge or discharge, even if you have solar panels from another brand on your roof.

Made for the meter cupboard
With dimensions of 72 by 66 by 98 mm, the module takes up little space in your consumer unit, and with an operating temperature of -30 °C to 70 °C, it also works perfectly fine in an unheated space.
Anker expects a lifespan of 10 years and offers a 5-year warranty; once installed, you won't have to worry about it again.

Good to know
The Backup Auto-Switch is only suitable for homes with a single-phase connection (1-phase). Three-phase connections (3-phase) are not supported, not even for partial backup power supply. Installation must be carried out by a certified electrician. The connected Solarbank must have a fixed AC connection; connecting via a regular plug is not supported.

Does this also work with a three-phase connection?
No, the Anker SOLIX Backup Auto-Switch only supports homes with a single-phase connection (1-phase). Homes with a three-phase connection (3-phase) are not supported, even when only one phase needs to be supplied with backup power.
Does the Backup Auto-Switch replace a P1 Meter?
Does the Backup Auto-Switch replace a P1 Meter?
It has its own built-in energy meter with two CT ports, one for the grid and one for an existing solar panel installation. Those measurements are sent to your Solarbank via the wired network connections, even if your panels are from a different brand. So there's no need for a separate meter.
