The Xiaomi 70mai A810S is a 4K dashcam developed for situations where image quality and reliability really need to make the difference. This successor to the 70mai A810 focuses mainly on better performance in tricky lighting, more comprehensive parking monitoring and more remote control. This makes the A810S suitable for daily use, but also when you regularly have to leave your car unattended.
4K image in changing light
The A810S records in True 4K resolution and is optimized for conditions where many other dashcams struggle. Think of backlighting and tunnels, a wet road surface or blinding headlights in the dark. The image processing actively adapts to changing light situations, keeping details more visible and limiting overexposure.
The advanced ROI algorithm automatically recognizes which parts of the image are most important, such as license plates. These areas get extra focus and priority, so evidence is captured optimally and you can read the license plates extra clearly.
Night image and parking
In low light, the Xiaomi 70mai A810S combines the Sony STARVIS 2 sensor IMX678 with advanced night processing. While driving, this ensures better balanced images with less noise and reflections. This keeps license plates clearly visible even in the dark of night.
The camera also stays active while parking when needed. In the dark, the exposure can be temporarily extended to make more details visible, which is especially useful in unlit parking spaces.
Front and rear camera
The dashcam supports recording with two cameras at the same time if you choose the HDR set. For the rear, you can choose between a camera placed inside on the rear window or outside on the bodywork. The latter is especially handy when your rear window is tinted or when reflections disrupt the image.
Both cameras record in Full HD with HDR and keep working smoothly even during simultaneous recording. With picture in picture, you can view front and rear recordings at the same time.
Recording around incidents
The A810S captures not only the moment of a collision, but also what led up to it. Thanks to buffered emergency recording, up to three minutes before an impact is saved, depending on the set loop. This gives you a more complete picture of the situation, not just the moment itself.
The sensitivity of the G-sensor is adjustable across five levels. This prevents small vibrations on a bad road surface from causing unnecessary recordings, or lets you record with extra sensitivity in risky parking situations.
Parking monitoring and 4G
For parking monitoring, the Xiaomi 70mai A810S features motion detection, provided you connect it with a 70mai Hardwire Kit. As soon as activity is detected around your vehicle, both cameras can be switched on. In combination with the 4G Hardwire Kit, remote monitoring is also possible. You can watch live, keep an eye on the car's battery voltage and receive an instant notification on your phone if someone bumps into your car. Finding your car back or reviewing a driven route is then also among the possibilities.
Use and storage
The dashcam supports voice control for basic functions, so you can adjust settings without having to take your hands off the wheel. Via the lightning-fast wifi 6, footage is quickly transferred to your phone. The built-in gps records speed and location and can give notifications, such as warnings for irregularities on the road.
For storage, the A810S supports memory cards up to 512 GB. Power is supplied via a supercapacitor instead of a traditional battery. This ensures better performance in extreme temperatures and lasts longer.
