Android phones and tablets with Android 9 or later are supported via Google Find Hub. iPhone and iPad with iOS 14.5 or iPadOS 14.5 or later work via Apple Find My.

Extra security

Lost mode lets you mark an item as lost. You add your contact information and a message. If someone finds the item, that person can view your information. Google Find Hub users get a pop-up with the details when a Xiaomi Tag is detected nearby. Apple Find My users can touch the Tag with an NFC-enabled smartphone to see the data.

You can also share the Xiaomi Tag with family or friends. This way, they can help find your belongings. In addition, with Apple Find My left behind, you have alerts. When an item is separated from you and is not in a frequently used location, the app sends a notification. You can set up to 20 frequently used locations to avoid unnecessary notifications.

Privacy and protection

Location data is encrypted during transmission. You can only view the location of your Xiaomi Tag yourself. If an unknown Tag tracks you for an extended period of time, you will receive an anti-tracking notification. Support for anti-tracking varies by Find network. The tracker is IP67 certified, which means it can withstand immersion in standing fresh water up to 1 meter deep for up to half an hour. The Tag is not intended for beach or pool use.
