Aqara Water Leakage Sensor
The Aqara Water Leak Sensor is designed to detect and alarm in the event of flooding and waterlogging. This way you protect your home optimally against flooding. The sensor sends a message and triggers the Aqara M1S or M2 Hub alarm when it comes into contact with water. The alarm is already triggered at a water level of 0.5mm.

Smart Technology
The exterior of the Aqara Water Leak Sensor is made of anti-UV material and protects the sensor from discoloration. The sensor is very energy efficient, allowing the device to last at least 2 years on one battery under normal conditions. The Aqara Water Leakage Sensor works perfectly with the Xiaomi Mijia Gateway HUB. Through the Zigbee protocol, the sensor also works with Apple Homekit, Homey, Alexa, Home Assistant and Domoticz.
The device can also be paired with other smart devices in your home. Thanks to the smart technology, the water is automatically turned off when used with the magnetic water valve. For example, after detecting a leak, the Aqara Water Leak Sensor activates the AQARA Smart Plug to immediately turn off the solenoid water valve. Or makes your Yeelight lights flashing at the moment water is detected.

De producten zelf voelen degelijk en zijn zeer goed afgewerkt. En het belangrijkste ze werken perfect. Ook het installeren op het smart home systeem is zo simpel. Super!
Deze sensor doet het prima maar er is geen mogelijkheid om na te gaan of de batterij nog goed is. Het enige wat je dus kan doen is systematisch alle batterijen gaan vervangen om het anderhalf jaar ofzo. Ik merkte ook op dat omwille van de plaatsing van deze sensor (vaak onder een apparaat zoals een wasmachine of vaatwasser) ontvangst tussen de sensor en de bridge een probleem kan zijn. Je kan dit oplossen door Aqara power plugs tussenin toe te voegen, die werken als repeater.
Aangeschaft wegens het in huis hebben van een 350l aquarium, ik kan nog niet oordelen of het goed werkt op lange termijn maar een korte test bij het installeren deed het ding 100% wat verwacht werd.
Heb inmiddels veel Aqara schakeaars in mijn smarthome in gebruik en bij de laatste bestelling deze watersensor ook maar gekocht om eens te proberen. Je gelooft het niet maar 3 dagen nadat ik hem bij de wasmachine had geplaatst stroomde het water van de afvoer over en kreeg ik direct een melding via mijn Homey. Werkt perfect dus!
